Corona - These are special times for everyone, with various inconveniences and unprecedented changes. The team and the board of the HISK (Ghent University of Fine Arts) believe that artists should not be left alone. Because they have to make art, no matter how difficult times are. And so HISK students were asked whether they would like to participate in a screen print edition. The result is 22 unique screen prints, which were sold in a limited edition. The proceeds went to the artists, as they are having a particularly hard time these days. Of course, this is not the only reason why the HISK took this initiative. Artists also have a social function. They are the finger on the pulse of crises in society. They point out things that we don't notice.
The IKOB was very happy to support this initiative and bought a complete edition for its own collection.
